开放式GIS联盟（OGC）近期开展的网络制图测试（WMT）平台初期工作第一阶段已成功地完成了空间数据的网络制图描绘。OGC简单的要素基于XML编码方案（地理标记语言－GML），也是WMT第一阶段的重要成果，在未来的OGC测试平台工作计划中还希望能够进一步深化GML规范和直接数据访问领域的研究，包括开展WMT第二阶段的工作。
